My 24 French PEG-J came with a clamp that would pop open at every little movement , and subsequently spilled bile and stomach contents everywhere regularly.

This clamp not only goes on easily without having to remove or replace any of the current hardware, it also reliably stays shut. I put it to the test for 48 hours before reviewing, and I seriously reccomend for leaky G/J/Peg/Peg-J feeding tubes on adults. This clamp is a bit too big for pediatric tubes, unfortunately.”

These small side load clamps to clamp a G-tube off are GREAT, easy to use, on & off, compared to the blue scissors clamp or blue V-clamp, which can also do the job. They are a little bigger than the typical infusion clamps, but the side load works in the G-tube very well. The blue units catch on clothing & cause a bulge under clothes. There is enough quantity for the money & they are good quality. I am hoping to continue to be well pleased over time during my illness requiring this G-tube using these side entry clamps.”

“Perfect for a G-tube! So easy!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I don’t know why G-tubes don’t come with a clamp. But, I really wanted one because the extension they gave me that has a valve to turn is so awkward to use. I feel like I need 3 hands to use it and it would fall off and I’d get all my stomach contents all over my clothes. Only problem with getting a clamp though is most clamps are closed on the sides and since the end of my G-tube has 3 ends to it. There is no way I could slide my tube through any size clamp. But this works perfectly because it is open on the sides! Now no more trouble with my extension, no more leaking and needing 3 hands. I just press this open and then click it shut. So easy! And it arrived much earlier than it said it was going to!“

New peg or feeding tube replacement didn’t come with a clamp. Which I have yet to understand since if you open the peg tube 50% of the time it will make a mess if the hose is not clamped off. Luckily I found this side clamp because the one like I previously had would not work. Once I figured out that all I need to do is just unclamp it and not totally remove it things went a whole lot smoother. FYI, I’ve discovered that for each of the nutritional shakes that I use, because they are so thick, I dilute them with the same amount of water. It helps the flow to go a lot faster. Sorry for rambling 😂. This clamp works great for me.“
